i-change BUC Youth Congress, Telford International Centre 21 - 25 April 2011.
The first BUC-wide Youth Congress got off to a flying start on Thursday, 21 April with inspiring praise led by Monica Brooks and her team, a new Theme Song composed by Yvonne Bauwens (who also co-hosted the evening with Andrew Davis) and insights that caused change based around the 9 and the 3 in the story of the Transfiguration. "You were picked to be the changed, let Jesus do the changing", Pastor James Black told the youth, climaxing the evening with the youth sharing prayer time with each other.
Friday continued with excellent presentations by David Asscherick on Romans 7 and 8; Tim Gillespie with a moving Good Friday message that emphasised that 'the worst day ever was the most important day ever too;' and Dick Duerksen in full story telling mode captivating his audience and then challenging them with 'what is your story this next year?' Witness also happened in the nearby park, door to door and in a nursing home.
