British Union Conference Session, Stanborough Park Church, Watford, 3 July 2011.
Despite the glorious sunshine on Stanborough Park, and the temptation of a school fete, 301 delegates faithfully assembled at Stanborough Park church on Sunday, 3 July for the one-day Business Session that would be the culmination of months of committees and preparation. Following a morning devotional where Pastor Charles Tapp again emphasised the importance of being a 'love church' and answering Christ's prayer for unity, delegates voted Nominating Committee reports, asked questions, spent time in break-out groups discussing qualitatively at how better the Church can 'Reach Up, Reach Out, Reach Across and Reach In'. The day climaxed with a discussion on how restructuring could possibly affect the future mission of the Church. A full written report on the BUC Session weekend is in BUC News #739 for 8 July 2011.
A photo gallery of the Sabbath Day of Fellowship is also available. A small selection of video (and audio) reports including the sermons can be found on the Hope TV-UK website. Full documentation from the Session including the report book, Nominating Committee reports etc is on the BUC Session website.
