Darwin's God lecture and filming in Shrewsbury, 11 November 2008.

The second of three lectures in the birth place of Darwin taking a look at Darwin's God through the eyes of an archaeologist, an astronomer and a theologian. This second lecture, by Dr Mart de Groot, former head of the Armagh Observatory in Northern Ireland, looks at how the precision and order of the universe calls for an Intelligent Designer. Could that be God?

In addition, the selection of photos includes pictures of filming for a Hope Channel programme on Darwin to coincide with the bicentenary of his birth and a number of locations around the beautiful city of Shrewsbury - including a picture of the Adventist church that is tucked in just behind the abbey. (See our churches page for directions to all Adventist churches in the UK and Ireland.)

The main report for this story is in BUC News #612 (14 November, 2008).
