"Tree Planting celebrates 100 years of Youth Ministry" 15 May 2007 - South England Conference Gardens, Watford. Pictures by Victor Hulbert At 3 pm on 15 May, 1907 Adventist Youth Ministries was created in Gland, Switzerland. At 3 pm on 15 May, 2007 Adventist Churches and conferences around the world planted trees as part of the anniversary celebrations. Below are pictures of the event at the South England Conference Office gardens. Current youth leaders, Colin Stewart, Robert Hines and Nathan Stickland led out in the event along with SEC office staff and other youth leaders. Baraka Muganda, director of the Youth Ministries department for the world church said that planting trees has a symbolic purpose. "When the next generation ask what this tree is for we want then to know that this church cares for young people...
