South England Conference Camp Meeting, Prestatyn, 11 - 17 June, 2007

Prayer, Praise and Podcasts

Wednesday morning at the South England Conference Camp Meeting saw a stream of around 1,000 campers heading out the gate for "Power on the Beach". Led by Pastor Aristotle Vontzalidis, Brenda Rutherford and Elsie Staples, the campers rejoiced in the 6 a.m. opportunity to sing praises, share their stories and to prayer. "How Great Thou Art" has a special ring to it in the special atmosphere of the beach with the calm sea in the distance and the early morning sun endeavouring to break through the clouds.

As the early morning commune in God's nature drew to a close participants made their way back to the main hall where GC General Vice-President, Mike Ryan, shared a stirring message of acceptance and community based on the story of the blind man made whole in John chapter 9.

A positive start to another day of praise and fellowship at Prestatyn, the early morning prayer sessions have become an important part of the Camp Meeting programme and are seen as the "high point" of many people's day.
